she's WALKING!!!

That's right. My baby is walking. She has been for about 2 weeks now. It's true what they say, "One day, she will just stand up and go". She did. I can't believe it. We went to StrideRite and bought her first pair of walking shoes. They are very cute.

The only problem is they are tennis shoes and it is getting warmer so of course she has to wear sandals with her cute summer outfits. We are going back to Striderite next week.

School's OUT for the Summer!

School officially ended June 18. But I finished cleaning and doing report cards as of June 20th, so I have really only been on vacation 4 days. I get to stay home all summer with Isabella. I have been anticipating this a few months. I couldn't wait for summer to be here.

I have had the BEST 4 days of my life. I have gotten to wake up everyday and know I get to spend the day with her. She is growing so fast. I have a list of stuff for her and mommy to do. We are going to go swimming, go to Gymboree, the zoo, aquarium, & parks galore. I am so excited!

This afternoon, we went for a walk in the neighborhood. She pushed her Pooh bike around and talked to anyone that would listen. She became fascinated with the birds that were darting around.

I am going to savor each day. I know school will be here soon, summer always goes so fast.

A New Purchase

Skip's grandparents, "The Greats" have decided to sell their motorhome. They announced it around Easter and we have mulled over it ever since. Before we got busy with school and Isabella we used to camp a lot with friends and really enjoyed it. But the thought of tent camping now, especially with Isabella just doesn't sound appealing. So we talked to Grandpa about buying. The best thing about it is, we know where its been. Its almost like buying a house or car. We won't buy one used. Its just....well... gross. But we know "the Greats" are safe. We plan on taking it on the road this July to Utah for the family reunion. Hopefully sometime before that, and in between Skip's traveling, we can practice and go camping

Really Daddy?

Today Skip had to get Isabella ready for the day. These are the clothes he put her in.....

Need I say more?

Can I take your pictrue?

This is the camera that one of my kids came towards me with.

"Can I take your picture Mrs. Underwood?" Sure!

After taking my picture, he went back to the table. Then came to me, "here you go!"

It's my picture. Looks just like me don't you think?

What a great imagination!

Favorite Outfit Day

During the last few weeks of school, I am having special days for the kids. (My new teaching partner does this and I thought it would be fun idea). Today was favorite outfit day. I knew that most of the girls would be in their pretty dresses. The boys came to school with whatever on and said "this is my favorite outfit"! One boy wore his favorite tie his dad has. (it's remote!) and it even has a slit for the remote to go inside!!

I decided to go with it. I wore my favorite outfit - a sweatsuit. I felt really awkward all day, but comfy!

I love Broccoli!

If we have done anything right, when we started solid foods we started with vegetables. Even when we got real food, we were amazed at how much she loved green beans and brocoli. One night, for a treat we added cheese. Needless to say, she loved it. It was everywhere!
