My Brush with a Celebrity

Do you know who this is?

Elizabeth asked my to fill in for her women's softball team tonight and I recognized her, but couldn't place her. I asked Elizabeth if she worked with her. She smiled and said, "No. That's Angela King from Q13 FOX News."

So yep, I played softball with her tonight. She is an awesome softball player too. Great lady, lots of fun and such a crack up.

Party Shoes

Isabella just loves shoes. When I don't put her in some, she will find a pair and try to put them on herself. She's even really good about leaving them on. When I leave my flip-flops lying around, she will bring them to me and try to put them on my feet.

Today, I was putting clothes away and Isabella was "helping" me by emptying out her drawers. She found a pair of black dress shoes that a friend had given me and she hasn't worn yet. She immediately sat down to put them on. I think the party shoes look quite nice with the messy hair and pj's!

4th of July

This is Skip's favorite holiday. He goes out to Boom City to get the most for his money. Look at all the stuff he got this year. It took forever to go through them!

I absolutely love this picture. I think she looks adorable....

Every year, a bunch of us get together and scrapbook, play games and eat a ton of food. We have a great time. Here are other pictures from the day-
When it came time to set off fireworks, Isabella didn't really like them at first. She just sat on my lap and watch. As long as she was holding her straws she was good. After a while (and it took a while) she got bored and wanted to go to the neighbors house.

Water Play

It was soooooooo hot! I felt so bad for Isabella. She was so sweaty. We decided to set up her "sprinkler playground". She didn't move around, but splashed a lot!

Japanese Gardens

One of the places we have gone so far this summer is to the Japanese Garden in the Seattle Arboretum. Aunt Nessa went with us. It is a beautiful place. We took advantage of the scenery and pretty much turned it into a photo shoot. We took 7 rolls of pictures and I have to say, we did a pretty good job. We got some really awesome pictures.

I was freaking out at this bridge. She kept standing on her tippee toes and
leaning over. I could just see her falling in. There were some ducks and
turtles on a little ledge that she kept talking too. She was fascinated by the duck with her babies.

She was so tired at this point. She actually tried to climb in the stroller herself. She pretty much walk the whole way. She did a great job!

she's WALKING!!!

That's right. My baby is walking. She has been for about 2 weeks now. It's true what they say, "One day, she will just stand up and go". She did. I can't believe it. We went to StrideRite and bought her first pair of walking shoes. They are very cute.

The only problem is they are tennis shoes and it is getting warmer so of course she has to wear sandals with her cute summer outfits. We are going back to Striderite next week.

School's OUT for the Summer!

School officially ended June 18. But I finished cleaning and doing report cards as of June 20th, so I have really only been on vacation 4 days. I get to stay home all summer with Isabella. I have been anticipating this a few months. I couldn't wait for summer to be here.

I have had the BEST 4 days of my life. I have gotten to wake up everyday and know I get to spend the day with her. She is growing so fast. I have a list of stuff for her and mommy to do. We are going to go swimming, go to Gymboree, the zoo, aquarium, & parks galore. I am so excited!

This afternoon, we went for a walk in the neighborhood. She pushed her Pooh bike around and talked to anyone that would listen. She became fascinated with the birds that were darting around.

I am going to savor each day. I know school will be here soon, summer always goes so fast.
